Old WardsThe birthplace for Ward Brothers Furnishers Ltd came 90 years ago at Cemetery Road, Doncaster. It was here that brothers Fred and Tom Ward began their cabinet making business, in 1919.

Even back then, quality and service was key, so they’d beautifully craft their own furniture and deliver it by horse and cart. A great deal has changed since then, but our philosophy stays the same; quality and service are the ingredients to success.

The last 90 years have seen the business grow and move from Cemetery Road too Waterdale, Doncaster. We now stand as one of the largest independent retailers in Yorkshire. Remaining a family run business, we are now onto our 4th generation and it’s this continuity that has allowed us to stick to our values.

We have come a long way since our early days and now sell some of the best of British manufacturing together with cutting edge designs from the continent. Obtaining strong brand names such as, G-Plan, Ercol, Ekornes, Duresta and Vi-Spring has done a great deal to assuring the longevity of Ward Brothers Furnishers Ltd.
